PROBLEM-OF-THE-WEEK
Welcome to Trent's Problem-of-the-Week Contest! On Monday ofeach week (give or take a few) a new problem will be postedhere. Solutions are due the following week -- they can bemailed in, e-mailed or slipped under my office door. Problemswill be also be posted electronically to the newsgrouptrentu.general and a hard copy will always beposted outside my office (LEC N127-2). Solvers will havetheir names posted and the best of the submitted solutionswill be given. Most of the problems can be done using onlyhigh school mathematics and logical reasoning so dust offthose little grey cells, sharpen your pencils and plungein!
At the end of the year, a prize will be awarded to the personwho has submitted the most correct solutions.
